Why I don’t see any photos in my Gallery? I have thousands of photos by somehow my Gallery is empty.
When Post3D starts it scans your phone and looks for photos compatible with the application (Q2). If it couldn’t find any supported photos that means that either you didn’t take any photos compatible with the application or your phone doesn’t support taking images which we can automatically convert to 3D photo . In order to learn how to make compatible photo please check (Q3). You can always convert any photo manually by opening in Post3D or by pressing "+"

How can I take a photo compatible with Post3D application?
Post3D allows to convert any photo to 3D. Just open it with Post3D or add a photo using "+" button. Conversion process takes around 20-30 seconds. Keep in mind that devices which allow to take 3D ready photos with depth information can produce better quality 3D effect. Currently we support modern double camera phones from Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei and Sharp. We also support Google Pixel and Google Nexus devices. In order to take a picture containing depth information you need to select either Live Focus (Samsung), Portrait (Xiaomi, Google Pixel), Aperture (Huawei), Bokeh (Sharp) or Lens Blur (Google Nexus) mode in your standard camera application. After you take a picture you can open Post3D and share your photo

How does Post3D application produce 3D Photos?
If you phone supports taking 3D ready shots on hardware level you can take a picture in one of the supported camera modes (Q3). In that case your phone creates a photo with an additional hidden grayscale image, which represents the distance between your phone and the objects on the picture. Post3D can read that depth information and create 3D like photo which you can share in the internet. If your device doesn't support taking 3D ready shots you can still add any photo by opening it in Post3D or adding by pressin "+" button

Is it safe to use Post3D? What kind of personal data it collects?
When you first launch the application we ask you for email address that application will use to associate your photos. It allows us to show your shared photos even if you re-install the app or install it on a different device. We may also scan photos available on your phone when application is searching for supported images. When you share you image by default we include information about when this photo was taken. But you can easily remove it by modifying the title of the image before you share.

Everyone who has the link to the photo can see it. If you don’t want to share some photo anymore - just select the photo and click Unshare. It will remove the 3D photo from the cloud. Even if a picture was removed from your device but it’s shared you can still find it in the gallery and stop sharing.

Discovery page contains a lot of beautiful pictures with sense of depth and minimum artifacts. But when I take a picture it doesn’t look so nice. There are either artifacts or 3D effect is really minimal.
Like in general photography you need some skills to take beautiful pictures. We would recommend to take either macro or portrait pictures with one or several objects close to the camera and the background or horizon on some distance. Pictures in tunnels or halls may also help to produce feeling of depth. Landscape or wide field of view photos from other side usually don’t demonstrate remarkable 3D effects. Small details, like branches of trees, objects with sharp edges may lead to visible artifacts. We would also highly recommend to take pictures in good light conditions. A lot depends on how well you camera can identify the distance, so some phones produce higher quality 3D photos than others. Remember that you can reduce 3D effect to remove artifacts in editing mode. You can also play with focus - just touch wherever you want to have sharp area on the photo.
-
Can I edit 3D photo? What settings I can change?
Before you share a 3D photo you can edit it. In current version you can change depth level, from shallow - which helps to reduce artifacts to deep which would increase a feeling of perspective and 3D effect. You can also set focus point by clicking on photo in editor mode. It will make area under you finger more sharp. You can also reduce or increase blur effect.
